spent most of the day working at local language working on the whale project. Today’s work entailed manufacturing parts for whale A, this ment cutting wire, glueing caps, swaging loops and QC. In the evening I made a computer desk for my room from old parts from my bed. I also attended Gever’s salon about the begging of boxbot

Today was another day on the whale project. Most of today was about optimization of the manufacturing process. We were able to reduce the time to produce 25 tubes from 2 hours to 30 minuets by finding inefficiencies and eliminating them, this was mostly taping and wire coiling. I also came up with a novel I would like to write.

Submarine Story

Another day at Local Language making the whales. This evening I got together with the TS crew for family dinner at BWX. This gave me a wonderful opportunity to explore and share my

Midwinters Project

ideas.

Gever received a donation of the exact parts I needed for this project this included 40 electromagnetic linear actuators solving the cost to manufacture problem.

I spent the day problem solving the pipe organ exhibit for midwinters. I was running into the issue of not having enough time to manufacture the 24 pipes i was hoping to have. I explored 5 different manufacturing methods ranging from completely 3D printed to PVC pipe construction and even a wooden box pipe. The solution to all my problems ended up being my pipe organ dealer Christopher. He was able to hook me up with a full rank of pipes for $100. This is solving so many of my issues and giving me more time focus on the interactivity part of this project. I also had a wonderful chat with Sylvia and we nailed down the idea of driving out to Denver together in January.
