Music is an untaped topic for most science museums, we often see music as an art form but are unaware of all the physics that guide this art form. This idea began with a desire to explore what effect resonating chambers had on pitch. I wanted a device that isolated resonating chambers as a variable and connected the size of the chamber to the pitch. Guitars, violins , trumpets and drums all use resonating chambers to amplify and shape the sound being produced but none of these solely rely on resonating chambers to shape the tone. Pipe organs are a much better device for explaining this phenomenon due to the resonating chamber directly affecting the pitch of the organ. Pipe organs use varied size pipes to produce a large range of pitches.
